On the Issue of the Labor Law Science Methodology Purpose

Abstract: In this article the author researches methodology levels to determine a purpose of methodology of labour law science. In particular, concrete scientific and special scientific methodology levels are anilysed there. The author gives proofs that special scientific level is used to study separate object properties within the concrete science and it actually determines limits of concrete science research. For labour law wage labour and labour contract are the basic and main objects of special scientific research. There is a conclusion that every level of methodological research has its own specific function, its own purpose. Philosophical level of methodology defines only the most general strategy of scientific cognition and it is general ideologal and gnosiological reason of cognitive activity. Other methodological levels have their own independent methodological problems which do not substitute and remove philosophic problematique. In this case, the successful development of separate science methodology and its productivity largely depend on those philosophical foundations on which it is based. The author drows her attention to the fact that sometimes concrete scientific level of methodology is designated as “private scientific” one. The author grounds that it is more appropriate to use the term “concrete scientific level of methodology” because of the ratio of such philosophical categories as “common”, “special” and “concrete”. The existence of special features of methodology of labour law science is also proved. Such special features are original combination and interaction of its structural components as a system of research methods, methodological approaches, principles, methodology and technique of cognitive activity, as well as theoretical and ideological component. The author grounds that a purpose of methodology of labour law science should be using the different methodological approaches to study comprehensively labour and legal phenomena, identify and combine appropriate cognition methods to study different problems of labor law theory.
