The journal Perm University Herald. Juridical Sciences is one of the leading Russian periodicals indexed in Web of Science Core Collection (ESCI). The journal covers fundamental and applied issues of legal science, including the current state of legal doctrine, Russian legislation, law enforcement, and proposals for their development and improvement. It provides analysis of theoretical and historical aspects of state-legal phenomena, international acts, and foreign legislation as well as a comparative study of legal institutes in Russia and other countries. |
MISSION of the journal is to provide a forum for the scientific and legal community and thus contribute to the development of modern jurisprudence by accumulating up-to-date knowledge.
In compliance with the mission, the journal pursues the following OBJECTIVES:
- achieving leading positions in solving theoretical problems of jurisprudence and in the application of research results and scientific findings in lawmaking and law enforcement;
- ensuring the dissemination and advancement of the results of high-quality legal research in the professional community;
- development of the human resources potential of Russian legal science;
- ensuring the continuity of the research process through publication of articles by leading and young scholars.
The stated mission and objectives are directly linked to the following TASKS the journal undertakes to perform:
1) dissemination of the results of fundamental and applied scientific research enhancing and deepening the understanding of the most important issues in the field of jurisprudence;
2) development of scientific legal doctrine;
3) formulation of scientifically based recommendations for improvement of legislation and legal practice;
4) ensuring of effective communication between authors and readers so as to meet their information needs and maximize their professional performance.
The readership of the journal consists of researchers, university professors, undergraduates, postgraduates, employees of legislative and executive bodies of all levels of the government, judges, practitioners, representatives of the public and the expert community.

All scientific articles submitted to the journal and accepted for consideration are subject to double-blind peer review.
The journal is published 4 times per year in Russian and English. Each issue contains 7-8 articles. Submitted articles shall comply with the following requirements:
- the article shall present the results of fundamental academic research that are of interest to Russian and foreign scholars;
- the article should contain no less than 100,000 characters including spaces (50-60 pages typed using14-point TNR font with 1.5 line spacing);
- the article shall be prepared based on at least 20 scientific sources (half of which must be foreign);
- the article can have no more than two co-authors.
The journal publishes original scientific articles in Russian and English. All Russian-language articles submitted must be translated into English after peer review and approval.
Articles are submitted in electronic form through personal accounts of the authors.
The journal does NOT issue certificates of acceptance of manuscripts for review or publication. The only proof that the article has been accepted, reviewed, and published is the issue of the journal containing the article.
The journal is included in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations prepared within the scope of the branch of science 12.00.00 “Juridical Sciences” are to be published.
