PREVENTIVE MEASURES OF GENERAL CHARACTER FOCUSED
ON CRIMES COMMITTED IN ACCOMPLICESHIP

Introduction: in the article, the disputable issues of the preventive measures notion and realization mechanism are viewed, focused on crimes committed in accompliceship. Purpose: the author analyses and compares different preventive measures of general character focused on crimes committed in accopliceship. Methods: the methodological basis of the research is formed by a complex of the scientific cognition methods, the leading position belonging to the dialectical method. In the article, the general scientific  (dialectics, analysis and synthesis, abstracting and concretizing), and specific scientific research methods (formal legal, technical legal) methods of research. Results: the author’s view is that the situation of preventing crimes committed by certain groups  show the drawbacks in the legislative basis of the Russian Federation that significantly influence the effect of activities performed by agents planted into criminal groups and organizations. Conclusions: based on the performed complex analysis of the preventive measures of the general character focused on the crimes committed in accompliceship, the author of the article considers it necessary to amend Chapter 8 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code with Article 42.1 “Performing Special Task of the Operational Investigation Bodies (Pretended Complicity)”.
