| Annotation: | Introduction: the article analyzes the establishment and development of the institute of medical practice licensing. Purpose: to investigate the transformation of the institute of medical practice licensing in order to determine the future direction of its development. Methods: the main methods used while conducting this study are general scientific dialectical method and specific legal techniques such as historical legal and comparative legal methods. Results: the institute of medical practice licensing has a relatively short history of development. At the same time, the authors note a pronounced trend in its development, which is evidenced by a large number of complementary or modifying regulations. One of the controversial issues is determination of the types of medical practices that are subject to licensing. The article analyzes the licensing requirements to specific types of medical practice at different time intervals. Conclusions: the legal content of medical practice licensing has significantly transformed during the whole period of its development, which can be confirmed by a large number of legal acts in this sphere. Thus, the system of legal regulation of medical practice licensing continues to develop, facilitated by the socio-economic and political changes taking place in our country. | |||||||||
